Atif Aslam, the Bollywood singer, behind songs like Tere Liye from Prince, Piya O Re Piya from Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and Tu Jaane Na from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani rocks the O2 in London. His special head gear, was created by his brother, especially for the O2, to match his rockstar image and persona.

This photo was taken backstage, after the show, with Ashanti OMkar from BBC Publishing, who worked as a consultant on the Dhamaka 2012 show that he headlined.

The O2 in London is the world's biggest and most famous music venue, where AR Rahman performed in 2010, and the Bachchan clan did the 'Unforgettable' show there in 2008.

Atif Aslam makes history as the first Pakistani singer to perform at this coveted venue, joining the likes of Prince and the late Whitney Housten and Michael Jackson, whose 'This is it' tour was to take place and Jackson practiced there before his sad demise.

Joining Aslam in a 10,000 strong screaming crowd, were UK's most popular dance troupe, Bolly Flex, led by choreographer Leena Patel. The artistic director of the show, Naz Choudhury, promises that Dhamaka will be back with more such rousing concerts.

I wake up in the morning to Rihanna’s We Found Love in a Hopeless place and there you have it, my morning starts with a bang! My otherwise mundane morning ritual of green tea and small chores is never boring courtesy my high tempo music…

Driving to my shoot locations too goes by like a breeze, with my regulars ranging from Nickelback, Snow Patrol, Greenday, Atif Aslam and plenty more. I’m also the kind of person who gets hooked on to a song and I could play it all day on loop and never tire of it, to the extent that my driver and assistant know the song like the back of their hand, given the zillion times I play it.  In fact it’s like a mini-party in my vanity van with my entire team having their own wish list of music — ranging from Hindi film music to love songs, rock and party songs.

Talking of party songs, that’s a huge must during my workouts. Hi-octane music is something that really pushes me to give my best at the gym — which could range from David Guetta, Pitbull and the likes. Going to the gym is like my own personal playground and music just makes it more fun!

The nights are for Coke Studio and classic Bollywood — There have been times when I’ve fallen asleep listening to it. I’m the kind of person who needs music every step of the way — it reflects my mood and frame of mind.

If the world was mute, I wouldn’t be too happy a person and I’m thankfully blessed to be living in a time where music makes the world go around
